Elevator Glitch

I connected the two hooks and the elevator (I assume) is supposed to start running but instead its stuck on its side rattling about in the cage. I've closed my game without saving and reloaded but the autosave got it after it started glitching and I don't know what to do! :-(

You pulled up one side before the other. And now its stuck because of this. To get it working, you have to reset and lift both sides at the same time, which should happen as you have both hooks connected now.

So I opened both of the container things to reveal the hooks on both sides and I clicked the buttons on either side to swing the hook and connect and Jean said something and it auto saved so I assume that I did it correctly but my elevator is jittering about. I don't even know how I could restart the level or the puzzle

On the board where you sett the pressure (like 300-200-100-300-200 or so) is a wheel, just turn the wheel to off again (elevetor goes completely down), and on again (elevetor goes up correctly as the hooks are still connected).
