[FIX] lordsofthefallen.exe has stopped working

I've had this problem on startup since 1.3 and have never been able to play the game, I recently came across a post here which brought the solution I've been running the game since with no fps problems, glitches or noticeable bugs.

I wanted to create this post to raise awareness as I was lucky to come across the solution, and hopefully the developers can take ownership of this issue.

THE PROBLEM:
Upon a fresh install starting the game will render a black screen, then instantly raise a standard Windows popup with the error 'lordsofthefallen.exe has stopped working' game will close and there is no way to proceed further.

THE FIX:
Access the game settings.ini file held in the lords of the fallen installation folder

C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Lords of the Fallen/settings.ini

Change the fullscreen option to false

Start game and it should load properly, then change settings to suit your needs.

Worked when I included a reboot to kill off all the processes spawned when the bad launch hangs.
