Performance
Hey all,

So I took a risk a few days ago by buying this game, considering I play on a low/medium specced PC. Anyway the performance is enough for me to be able to play, it just isn´t too nice on the eyes when FPS drops from 40/50 to 20/30 in some areas. (Especially around fire and smoke particles)

I was hoping somebody had some advice as to how I could lessen the strain the game puts on my system. I already changed resolution from 1920x1080 to 1680x1050, changed all settings to medium and shadows to low, turned off Nvidia turbulence / Postprocessing, and set anisotropic to x4.

The only thing I haven't done is mess with the .ini yet, which I am just about ready to do since I've been enjoying this game a lot, I'd like to play it at a constant decent FPS.

Anyway here's my specs to be considered if / when advising me .ini tweaks (If anyone does at all)

Nvidia Geforce GTX 745 4GB
Intel i5 4460 quad core @3.20ghz
1TB kingston HD + integrated 24 GB SSD Expresscache
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 8.1 64 Bit

Much appreciatiation to anyone whom took their time to read / help me. Thank you!

You can try those settings in .ini, though that won't help a whole lot as 745 is just a horrible card for gaming.
You can also try using this config file, it's almost absolutely the lowest settings you can get

Thanks for the advice, I'll try using that .ini or at least parts of it. And yeah the 745 4GB isn't the best card, especially due to the low shader processing units however after tweaking most games settings (BF4, Shadow of mordor and many games alike)

I can get 9/10 games to run at 30 FPS with some decent visual fidelity. And some even at 50-60 FPS such as BF3/4/Shadow of Mordor for example, so when not comparing to the newest next gen card it doesn't perform half bad when you're not that bothered by having to downgrade from 1080p to 720p in some games (Which I'm not :P) Also it runs Lords of the Fallen game semi-stable without any crashes sofar so there's that lol.

Edit: PS I couldn't quote you since everytime I hit the quote button my community page just froze up, thus no quote. :p

I'd recommend a 30fps cap via Riva Tuner Statistics Server. Stable 30fps feel much better than a variable 30-50, and occasional dips into the 20s won't feel as bad .

I'll look that up, and give it a try! Thanks :)
