Unable to launch the game

Is there an issue with the files being served up by Steam at the moment?

Downloaded it, try to launch, missing executable. I verify files and it confirms one file needs to be redownloaded then redownloads the file which doesn't fix the issue with "disk read error" now coming up when I try to launch. I click on verify files and again it says 1 file needs to be redownloaded.

Running on Windows 7, I've tryed it on both my internal and external HDs and on both occassions deleted local files and then double checked for remnants of the installation in any steam folders. Also ran the redist files from the game install directory.

edit.....appears to be linked to ad-aware antivirus, dunno what the issue was but disabling it allowed the update process to complete.
