Game Crashes on Start

The game is currently crashing on startup. I am running Windows 7 x64, and have updated the video drivers to the newest version. The output from te4_log.txt is below.

My first guess would be that you have integrated graphics that dont support all the shaders, so turning them off as could help:

1b) If you cant get into the menu because the game is crashing on launch:

Use this as launch option in Steam (rightclick-properties in Steam library):

--safe-mode
With 2 minus at the beginning, no typo here.

This should disable shaders and hopefully fix the crash.
If it works, remove the launch option again, so it doesn't keep resetting your options.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this was with the "--safe-mode" flag. I am currently running 2xATI Radeon HD5770 in Crossfire mode.

Taking some wild guesses here because im not experienced with crossfire:
Can you disable crossfire in your settings and use only one GFX card and see if it works then?

If that fails too you probably should talk to Darkgod directly in IRC:

Just ask the people there if Darkgod is around.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I cannot disable CrossFire without removing one of the graphics cards. I will continue digging. Thanks!

P.S. This may be one of those times where gaming on linux is easier than windows! I can compile/run fine on Arch!
