magic crystals

Hey guys. I am new in the game and i am enjoying the stuff so far, but i wouldt like to know what i am supposed to do with magic crystals(blue ones in magic book) when i play warrior class. they stack yet pretty well and i dont know what i should do with them and feel pitty due to fact, that i read here and there how rare and usefull they souhld be. im using yet just spell scrolls so i dont know, pls any advice apreciated.

You use magic crystals to scribe spells to your spell book, but first you have to learn the magic in the magic skill tree. :D

Magic Crystals are used to scribe scrolls into spells. Unlike scrolls, which are free but destroyed when used, spells have infinite uses and require mana to cast. If you find a spell you think is really useful, scribe it. Upgrading spells also requires magic crystals. Spells can be upgraded up to level 3.

If you don't know what spells to take, some of the best are;
Helplessness
Stone Skin
Magic Spring
Healing
Berserk
Haste
Bless

If you know what you're actually doing, these are also good;
Resurrection
Sacrifice
Trap
Target

Avoid direct damage spells like Fireball, Lightning and Fire Arrow. They fall off later in the game when troop sizes get larger. It's better to focus on troop buffs, mitigation and crowd control.

Gift is also incredibly useful to refresh powerful unit abilities- get extra resurrections out of your inquisitors (no level limit for the same price as a resurrection spell!) or sleeplock level 1-3 enemies by refreshing dryads' sleep skill early (no command point limit!)

They are also used to upgrade the spells to levels 2 and 3.
