Bug- "enter" does not submit chat in multiplayer lobby or in game

During playtrough in nulitplayer, while myslef as host I am unable to text chat due to the "enter" key not actually submitting and sending the text chat to chat box. Other players are able to communicate using the basic text chat and i can see theirs but am unable to send my own. Any Suggestions
