Word of Waring to all who own Icewind Dale`
IWD doset work on windows 7 and it breaks my heart that Beamdog wont make a EE of IWD they take their sweet plucking time on updates Taking any between 6 to 8 moths for 1 PLUCKING UPDATE!!!!! its heart breaking that sasswips like Beamdog are the onely ones willing to make a EE of THE infiny engien games IWD should have had a EE neary a year agow

ive been plucking pissed off at Beamdog for a wile now wile they are still updating (kinda) a Playable Vershin of IWD wont be out tell 3 years from now :/ (pretty pathatic) So many peaple wont get to injoy planscape tourment or any of the infinty games. P♥♥♥♥ YOU BEAMDOG

If you can get your hands on anthology, all 6 games (BG1&2, IWD1&2, Torment and ToEE) works fine on windows 7

No they dont but maybye the anthology has somthing the stand alone cds dont. but i dont kbow.

The GOG version works perfectly fine in Windows 7.

A few minutes on the GOG forum revearled to me that there are many for whom it does work on W7...and many who got it to work with the help of forums members.
So maybe read a bit more and ask for assistance.

I can confirm both IWD 1 and 2 worked perfect on w7 for me, but yea its a shame we dont have them in an Enhanced edition like the BG series.

Yes, Australia doesn't exist because I didn't see it, that's your attitude, people are telling you there are ways around to make the game work, sometimes it means you have to do some legging.

I'm sorry if you can't get your game working, but just because you have a issue doesn't mean everybody else has as well.

The GOG forum clearly shows it works on W7; and there is lots of advice for anyone who is having difficulties.

Icewind Dale Complete from GOG works fine on Windows 7. It also runs screamingly well and installs easily on Linux with PlayOnLinux.

You can find help and pointers to resources for installing mods for Icewind Dale Complete on the GOG forums. I've not modded Icewind Dale Complete myself but I'm assuming that since others have successfully done so that it is possible.

Exacly- if we have to hunt down mods to make it work..well then 50% is left out. :/
