A great game that I cannot play

i want Yves guillmont in particular the entirety of Ubisofts development teams and C-suite specifically and france in general to lick my whole ass due to this game. i love it, i completed it twice, and now Ubisoft's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ proprietary software prevents me from accessing it forever due to (afaik) a conflict between purchases i made on Ubisoft's old storefront (UPlay) and the current one.

there is no person i can contact, no automated process i can go through, no Faustian bargain i can make with the Baguette-molesting surrender monkeys(French) to ever get back access to this game that i desperately wanted to share with a niece a couple days ago. Ubisoft *literally* stole this game from me Via obstinate bureaucratic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that i cannot overcome, just when i didnt think i could hate them and more than i allready do.

the game is nearly flawless, heartwarming and lovely, and i recommend you never buy it.

Cute little game that can hit that Paper Mario itch. It's a game that I like, but don't love, and yet would probably recommend it a lot. You can feel a lot of passion being poured into this game. Regardless of people's hate for Ubisoft or Uplay, definitely check it out.

Pros
- Amazing for kids - If I had small kids that I wanted to get interested in gaming, this game would be great for that. Simple story, combat, and characters, but still respects the player's intelligence and doesn't shy away from sadness.

Cons
- No Real Final Dungeon - The story feels like it's building up to Lemuria Castle being a dungeon but never gets to it sadly.

- Flying makes exploration a little a bit moot - One of the charms of Paper Mario (rpg) games is getting new abilities that compliment exploration and combat, but after you get this ability, exploration doesn't evolve.

- Hard mode turns enemies into damage sponges which creates extremely long battles.

I loved this game. The story, music, and art style are great. I especially liked the storytelling through rhyme.

Playing this last time 10 years ago, finally get to finish this! Music & art are top notch
