Taking Map Requests
Hey guys, I'm taking map requests. I will not half-butt (think of an A word with two S's) the map, I will legit put time into the maps (a few hours each at least). I'll try pumping two or three out every week. :) Might take a full week to do one if I am doing it completely by hand if I'm unable to get a heightmap for the area.

Any map request that does not have water will get a decent sized river placed in it making contact with the center tile. All maps will have the starting tile at the center (you can request that to be edited once the ma is complete). Research will be done into water movements on each map request to help replicate it. Any coastal areas without rivers will have their water movements remade to help facilitate water/sewage in game). I'll try to make it as close to the real thing as possible, but just know I'm not a computer. I will find or make heightmaps, or do it from scratch (Whichever is the best course for that area).

Due to me being a noob, first two map's have the highways flipped, sorry. :( I won't remake them but I will edit them when an edit feature (for steam workshop) becomes available.

For the request, please try to state a City, province/state, and country.

If you want a 25 tile mod, I recommend tomdotio's All Areas Purchasable. He is working to balance the mod too so that if there is a way to add milestones, he will add them to make getting the tiles a bit of a progression. I have not tested 25 tiles nor support it, neither does tomdotio, and neither do the devs. Use at your own risk.

I will post a link for each completed map. Maps will not be uploaded until completed since there is currently no way to update a map (if there is please comment below).

Maps will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, famous/common cities will get a higher priority as they would satisfy the most users. :)

The list has no particular order of when they'll be done. They'll get done when they get done. I'll make no promises as each map location varies in time needed to be spent on it, and some maps are harder than the rest. A map takes me anywhere between 4 hours and 9 hours to complete. I do a throughough job and try to come up with a playable map that is both interesting and fun, not to mention balanced.

Here's my current list (you can still request these to be done so they have a higher priority):

Updated to-do list with requests.

Might you make this map:
https://www.google.nl/maps/@52.9470071,4.7567123,14z

Its really flat in real live.

Does a river have to be there. Or can you just start at the sides next to the sea?

Thanks for taking time to make this!

Yes it can start at the sides of the sea. There is a small river there that I can use as a base water source for water collection. I'll have to do some tweaks with water movements of course just to get it right. Haven't done a coastal city yet but I'll try. :)

Could you please make a map of the National Capital Region (NCR Metro Manila) of The Philippines:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_Manila

I could make it myself in the map editor if I could only find a 16 bit grayscale heightmap of the region :(

Thanks in advance :)

I request the City of Sydney, Australia. (Higher Priority)

@Cahos, do you want the center to be over Manila? or a different city?

Going to throw out one a lot of people may not be familiar with, but which I think would be a good candidate:

Portland, Maine, USA (and whatever adjoining areas you deem appropriate to fill the 10x10 km square).

Wow, luckily I have spring break coming up in a week. I have a lot of work cut out for me. :) I'll try to get one or two more done before the end of the weekend. Got finals on Tuesday. Keep throwing in requests, I'll get to them one at a time. :)

Yup I'd like the map to be centered on Manila because the city has river (water resource) access as well as "Ship Connections" (based on the game's criteria.

Here is a source of heightmaps of the moon that you can use to make heightmaps for the game. Some manual image manipulation required.
