Sound crackling / short dropout

My sound ist crackling every few 5-10 seconds or drops out for short time (under 1 second).

Creative ZxR on a rampage iv extreme.

Drivers are up-to-date. Cities is the first game with sound problems.

hope for a patch soon. no fun to play with bad sound.

I have the same problem with a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty card.

I happens only about every 30 seconds for me, but it's still really annoying. It happens even when I'm on an empty map and the game is paused.

I also have slight sound issues with sound crackling/skipping a little tiny bit sometimes, but hopefully they will fix it soon.
I have Realtek HD Audio onboard sound, and it's drivers should be the latest.

This is occuring for me very frequently. Realtek HD Onboard sound using headphones. Seems to happen at random for both music and sound effects. Music is most noticable. For a game that is otherwise great this is a very distracting issue.

i have it too, but only when speeding up and while zoning for example, turningdown the music and ambient noise bait worked, and somehow lowering gfx abit helped too.. perhaps not enough system resources available, seen it happen in more games. ive got abit less now.
