Odd Graphic Problem

I loved this game back in the days, so when i saw it on steam i just had to buy it... but i cannot play it, shame!

I'm running Win7 Pro, and the game seems to start just fine: no crashes, the intro and video work just fine... but as soon as i start a new game (skirmish or campaign) or even the editor, the graphic become the mother of all glitches.

The whole interface is just one big messy poligon soup centered on the mouse pointer. Strange enough, if i use some keyboard command (like F1 for the construction center) they work. I can even build a building or two, and they look fine...but the game is unplayable.

I tried every resolution, win98 compatible mode and admin run, but nothing seems to work...

Any ideas?

Run the graphics settings as Open GL choice, it locks some resolution option but it works correctly then on.

if you cannot see your mouse after selection Open GL. Set your resolution 640 x 480. Same issue happens in Earth 2150 Lost Souls and Earth 2150 Moon Project. Solution works all of them.

Thanks, I had the same problem though on my laptop the top functional resolution was 1024x768 and no intro movie

Ran in OpenGl and everything works for me now too, thank you!

re-run game graphics test and select OpenGL video adapter, graphics test shortcut should be near game.

Set 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' under Compatibility for the game's exe file (Earth2150.exe). This brought my mouse back.
