Does this have online co-op?

I noticed co-op and local co-op, but from the past I've learned to ask first before buying. I'd love to pick a copy up for a friend and I, but we live in different states.

It does have online coop. You can invite the person you want to play with you. Or just find a random stranger to play with. However in my experience the random player coop is rather dodgy.

Also if you want to run local coop you need two input devices. (2 joysticks/1joystick, keyboard)

I only ask because there has been several instances of "co-op" being listed on a products page only to discover through the forums it was local co-op only.
