By pressing "-" you start going back in time and the chickens un-birth themselves. As you can imagine that causes the universe to implode and the game to crash.
And flickering animation problems still there
I actually have a very experienced QA person helping out! One of the points of 0.42 would be that it removes all unplanned code regressions going forward.
Sadly there are a hundred trillion combinations of hardware, software and OS, that might be causing this crash so we can't always track things down. (Crashing is happening to only a few dozen people out of 40k, so we are having to piece together the issue carefully and that takes time).
