Final boss advice?
So yeah, stuck on the final boss and not sure how to go about this anymore, the damage i do is so minimal and it seems to take most my MP just to keep my health up cause i keep losing health from attacks i don't even see or something.
Im level 20, using dreadnaut armor and the sword both maxed, i would go for the golden weapon but i learned about it to late.
Is there any tips to help me handle this guy? Any thing i can find via google or the wiki is mostly about the older game build

side note: realllly dont like bosses that are more of a test of survival like this guys seems to be

Put all your stat points in Int and use skill points to upgrade the entire magic tree. Equip Seraphic Blades, Magister Vestments, and Templar Bracers. Upgrade the lightning magic to full power. During the battle have fire magic as the up magic and lightning magic as the down magic.

Use fire magic on your sword (it gives extra magic based damage, and with a full magic skill tree, having the fire element active will give you lifesteal on your attacks), and attack either top tentacle until it becomes a platform, then stand on it and attack the head until the shield is destroyed. Once the shield is down, stand directly under the boss and spam lightning magic. After using up some mana, activate focus mode and continue to spam lightning until the shield reappears. Repeat as necessary.

If you need to reset your skill points, there is a shop on the way between the city of Tagrum and the Mausoleum District that will sell resets for 2 demon rubies, 2 angel sapphires, and 5 polished stones.

This boss was a test of survival before this last major patch.

Because I don't know what you have, I will give basic tips

1. teachings of life's blade is super helpful, in the area where you fought the first giant ice boss. it works by dropping the armour and resist to 0 when in focus mode

2. after taking out the shields there will be orbs and tornados, you can hit the orbs to send them at the boss and when there is a brief rest between the orbs being sent you can use down ice and either double jump or elec air to hit it in the face.

3. there is a point where it will summon spells (after orb phase but not bringing tentacles up), you can double jump then wall jump and double jump again to get early hits in that phase (use air elec if you have some trouble getting to the face).

4. practice (aka I got nothing left on tips)

True Anemone can be beaten with any build with reasonable synergy. Here are a few tips that do help a lot :

- the tentacles have a back, it's the side that is near the wall. Always try to backstab them for increased damage.

- there are two types of tentacles. Those on the left of the Boss spit Lightning bubbles that apply Static, and those on the right spit Void bubbles that apply Stun. Pick your side, but if you have trouble avoiding all the bubbles, I'd pick the right side. Being stunned is annoying, but Static reduces your damage by 50% (roughly), making it harder to switch to the orb phase.

- during the orb phase, do not just hit the orbs! Ignore the crabs, and use spells that allow you to directly hit the Head. Those are Ice Pillar, Bolt Shackle, and Thunder Struck.

- make sure you've got the Teachings of Life Blade key item, and save your Focus mode for the orb phase, you should be able to kill the tentacles and the blue shield quick enough to prevent the crystals from spawning.

- you can still hit the Shield during the Ray phase, all you need is a well timed Wall-jump + Double-jump. If you manage to break the shield during that phase (or at the beginning of the tentacles phase), you'll go directly to the orb phase again.

I was in a similar situation where I was doing chip damage and couldn't win. I'm not sure where I went wrong with my stat building or equipment selection, but I eventually tried using the Raven's Quill weapon, upgraded it as much as I can to whatever seemed good and took it to the boss.

The main strategy was spamming the face with the midair heavy attack that shoots several arrows. Still did small damage and took a bit, but it was multiple hits every attack which yielded better results than my previous failed attempts.

Oh and during the orb phase instead of knocking them back I put up an ice wall and made more face attacks. Kept my side free of orbs so they don't blow up though (and I think if the orb bumps into the ice wall they also go off so place them carefully).

wait, you can attack the face directly? So, me plonking orbs against it for nearly 20 minutes wasn't the only way to damage it? ♥♥♥♥, I feel stupid now -.-

pre major update this was the only way (well only good way), the orbs did a lot more damage and the boss healed if you let it.

it feels a little better this new way (what it currently is) to be honest.
