These are al very good questions to post on the official forum @ www.divegame.net, I urge you to post them there and get a bigger response from the community and the dev's

Chat function will be there eventually, but the dev's are still processing our feedback on what kind of functions we want. I myself for instance don't want a chatbox. I think we should only be able to voice chat when on the boats or on land, and underwater we should only be able to use voice chat when wearing a full-face dive mask and we are in reach of other players. But that's just me.

Yeah you need an account to post on the official forum and to play the game. You can create an account for free, only the game you'll have to buy. So for those who seek answers, they're free @ www.divegame.net

Hello Karmijn. We are working on way to communicate ingame. There are a lot of different requests and view from the community on this subject. So we have to find a way that will suit the general user. It will definitely be added into the game though.

As for the camera, the current function only included taking pictures. These will be saved on your computer if you want to.

We came up with a best of both worlds solution for the chat functionality - you can expect this to be added soon. But we're first working on the metal detector tool (this is the feature with the most votes).

hahaha could have a writing board (we TYPE something and it appears on the slate) so show the other diver. = )

Only problem with the mic thing is that some people arent comfortable using mics/can't use them if they can only log on late at night due to their sleeping partner. There should be a way to communicate via text in my opinion. Maybe an in-game mobile phone/pager or something.
