This... This Game...
If there's anything I can say about this game, it's that it's changed me. Seriously.

I, being a Japanese that moved to America, knew a great deal about what is being teached to me by this game. Nevertheless, I bought this game because I'm sure I didn't know everything (which I was correct on) but the two girls really made me go for it. Come on, they're irresistable! So, I slowly and gradually played the game as little as I could each day, as I did not want to end it in two hours, even though this game is so addicting. I generally really liked the game, and this is quite possibly the best Visual Novel I've played in my life. But the ending though...

The ending really did it for me. I, being a tsundere lover, naturally went for Akira and had my ending with her. But... I was really surprised by the ending. The way Akira spoke at the end was kawaii, but... then she kissed me. After she did, the look on my face was like driving a spear through my internal organs. It was... way too cute. Then, as I went into the last scenario, I suddenly got really absorbed into my actions. After seeing that situation, and my thoughts after what Akira said and the doll, I felt really... different. I had the sudden urge to wish for what happend after that, so I was really disappointed when it cut to the credits. Then... I found out that I went back to Japan an year later. Suddenly getting my hopes up sky high, I continued along the story to the station, when I saw Akira. The last picture that the game showed me... That just made me space out. The exchange in words between Akira and I are just... it made me so happy. The last two words of the ending... "Welcome Home." Then, the game ended.

Well, after seeing that, I literally, and I'm not kidding when I say literally, I just stared at the title screen for at least an hour. I am a devoted tsundere lover, but I didn't notice how... I guess I would say "enticed" by Akira until it ended. All of a sudden, I felt seriously sad. I'm probaby overreacting, but the... THE FEELS! Suddenly the game ended and I could only do two things - typing and dying. I felt myself losing grip of my life, and I couldn't even walk straight for some reason. I think I died inside. I realized that I became completely devoid of emotions, as I could not force out an emoticon other than a sad face no matter what, and I felt like as if I lost something so precious to me. I don't know why I was so sad. I technically had a happy ending right? So why...? I still haven't figured out, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm oh so sad right now. I am a huge anime lover and have indeed played a lot of anime-based games. Yes, I've played some games that made me very sad, but nothing compared to how I felt after playing this. In fact, not even in animes have I been made so sad.

I'm hoping that how I feel right now will gradually get better as time passes, but for now I feel like a lifeless body. I tried to play the game again, but after I saw how this game ended for Akira and I, I turn into a bundle of sadness. I don't know if it's how it ended, or if it's how Akira and I ended up at the airport but nevertheless, I die inside whenever I try to see her. So currently, I'm STILL looking at the title screen being spaced out, and probably will for a short while after I finish typing this because I have this awkward feeling that when I shut this game down, it's like shutting down my life as well.

If you even bothered to read my huge, and I mean HUGE wall of text, I applaud you for your patience. You might be thinking "Yeah, um, whats the point of me reading this?" I just wanted to say how I feel, because just leaving me to drown in a emotional pool of sadness isn't going to get me anywhere. You might be thinking that I'm sarcastic or I'm overreacting and all, but I can prove you wrong. Just go look at my screenshots of the game.

By the way, here's the picture of Akira that really destroyed my insides -
(Warning: Spoilers, Just instantly go down to avoid it. It's actually not such a big deal, but just in case, I made a gap.)

Right now, I'm just thinking to myself... "Akira..."

I'm surprised that you got that invested in the game, because when I played in, the romance angle was the weakest link of it. My main problem with it was that the game didn't bother to spare too much time to develop their relationship. Talking about Akira, I don't understand why this girl fell for this American dude. What has he done for her that made her soften her tsun side? What trait of him that fits her type of guy? I kept expecting Akira to mention their conversion in that chatroom being how this dude "clicked" with her, which could have been really easy to do, but they didn't even do that.

The game didn't have time to develop the romance angle, nor did it have any intention to. I didn't get any chemistry out of either couple, the romance lacked so much depth it's just surface-level.

Well, the title is about being in Japan for one week, and it doesn't mention anything about the two of them. But I more or less could see how Akira fell for him. He cared for her, frequently complemented and praised her, and... well, he did drink the salted coffee for Akira's sake. I'm planning to play out the Makoto's ending to see if there's any flashback on Akira's deepening of the connection with him. But regardless, it is certainly true that she did develop enough feelings for him throughout the game evidently.

You're very welcome! I just wrote out how I felt about the game, and... Akira. I'm being reminded about her every twenty seconds right now.

I can't tell if the OP is being serious or sarcastic... Either way, it's well written.

What the OP describes is what I felt way ago when I played "Lunar Eternal Blue" (the Sega version). That ending was heart-breaking at first, but it had a similar twist. Nice story, in both games.

I'm serious, even now, whenever I am reminded of her, my heart sinks. Anyways, thank you for the compliment.

I wonder what would happen to you guys if you played visual novels with proper development.

We're looking at frogs at the bottom of the well, in their natural habitat.
