AMD recently released drivers containing critical errors, so it is recommended you download the ones on the page above.

If you have Nvidia/Intel switchable graphics and you experience an error saying "Failed to create background context", it is probably an indication you need to install Intel graphics drivers. Even if you have a discrete graphics card, older Intel graphics drivers will fail to switch to the discrete card.

For laptops with Intel/ATI switchable graphics, you will need to set an application profile if you want Leadwerks to run on the discrete GPU. You can do this in the ATI Catalyst control center[h10025.www1.hp.com].

It is recommended that you update your graphics drivers for both ATI and Intel.

At this time, ATI does not provide any mechanism for the developer to choose the discrete GPU.

First I tried to run LGE and got a display not supported. I followed your advice and created a profile on Catalyst now LGE opened fine but when I run the map show me that graphic is not supported message again. Any tip?

You will need to create a profile for your project's executable(s). Right-click on the main project folder in the asset browser, and you will find two executables like this:
(Project name).exe
(Project name).debug.exe

These are the release and debug EXEs that need profiles created for them as well.

It appears Intel has introduced a bug into their most recent graphics drivers. If you have an Intel HD 4000 I recommend rolling back to an older driver:

I bought this program yesterday and from the start a message cane up saying that my graphics were not good enough when I tried to launch it so I updated my graphics from your link to Intel and it still did not work. I have a Fugitsu laptop that was bought about the same time as this last year. Any tips?

I have integrated ATI Radeon HD4200 with the latest drivers, but I still get the failed to initalize graphics error, which is weird because this video shows the engine runing on the same card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWDNTErp5ww
so why isn't mine working? :( it doesn't work with the -safe tag either

The entire Radeon HD4000 line is capped out at OpenGL 3.3 some of the lower end mobility Radeons, like your 4200 only go up to OpenGL 2.0 which is ancient while Leadwerks 3.1 and newer requires OpenGL 4.0. That video is from Leadwerks 3 (note the lack of minor version number) which is an older and different engine version than the one here on Steam.

so with an Intel® HD Graphics 2000 chipset I am not able to utilize the Leadwerks Demo at all due to the latest version of Leadwerks is OpenGL 4.0 and my chipset can only manage handling OpenGL 2.0? If yes then I should just uninstall?

The Intel HD Graphics 2000 chip does not support OpenGL 4 and cannot run Leadwerks. Sorry.
