Troubleshooting Connection problems!
If you're having trouble connecting to others or having lag issues, try some of the following solutions;

1) Open ports
Try to open the following ports in your router:
35001
50005

2) Are you on a wireless net?
Try cable, FORCED (still) isn't very fond of wireless :(

3) Use Hamachi
Go to http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/
Everyone needs to connect via the same network, so either all get Hamachi and set it as top priority, alternatively the one who uses Hamachi must put the Ethernet above Hamachi.
Note that using hamachi is for ESTABLISHING a connection if nothing else works, as it might introduce more lag if you can already connect and start using it.

4) Use Tunngle
Go to http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en and download Tunggle.

After installing Tunngle, login (You find the login form at the bottom left corner). When you have logged in successfully you and your friends can join each others game if you are in the same "room".

5) Match download regions
Go to Steam -> Settings then the Downloads tab. Change your region to match whoever you are trying to connect too.

6) Known spyware that interferes with FORCED:
Some users have found that the program "Pando Media Booster" causes network issues for them when playing FORCED.
Look for "PMB.exe" in your processes, and if you find it, kill it (and my personal recommendation is to uninstall it as well)
There might be other programs that interfere, we would like to know if you find any clues!
Thanks to user alclarity for helping with this; http://steamcommunity.com/app/249990/discussions/0/792924952834113373/

7) Have host play on Fast settings
We've had reports that having the host play on Fast helps relieve the lag on clients, because if the hosts runs at below 60 FPS it can create problems in the information flow.

8) If your connection lamp is green, host games instead of joining
If you've improved connectivity it's most likely it has helped people connect to you. For you to connect to them they need to improve their connectivity.
That's why, if you've opened ports and tried other things, hosting is more likely to succeed.

Also, if you are looking to play with random people, chances are you're more likely to find them if you host, because you won't run into people waiting for friends.

9) Help us help you!
If you have trouble connecting, please send the output_log to support@betadwarf.com with an exact description of your issue, your system specs, the locations of people involved and what your attempted solutions yielded.
Try also to write /ping in the game and see if the ping spikes during play or if it stays stable. We would very much like to know how it varies.

I can't connect to anyone, for a game that's biggest selling point is co op this seems pretty broken to me. I've turned off my router firewall and my computer's firewall to no avail.

I'll try using Hamachi tomorrow.
We're currently hard at work improving the way we're integrated with steam. This should solve the connectivity issues for the people have problems at the moment.
Sorry for the troubles, we hope you'll be patient with us.
Tried all 3 things to no avail. Gave up after 2hours of trying everything
Can't join any games and purchased the 4pack to play with my friends.... GG
does this game has some region block or something ?
cuz cant join my friends games...
they are from america, i'm from europe
It's a Firewall issue with either host or client's windows firewall. Also disabled it in the routers config and we are now doing co-op fine :D

After about 50 tries I got into a game. NAT punchthrough errors and time outs. When I finally got in, the movement was very choppy, and not a pleasant experience. Hope you guys manage to iron the bugs out. Single player was fun! :)

Thanks for the reply, glad to hear you're working on a fix. I'll be enjoying the single player in the mean time.

For those trying to DL Hamachi, my computer does not allow it to be run, except by admin (and even when I log in as admin it says the same thing). So I guess just wait until a fix comes.

We tried to open the ports 35001 and 50005 (http://puu.sh/4Z9eF.png), I think we have to type something in port triggering and port protocol. any idea what?
Really annoying thing... disconnects, no join possible. PLEASE add a filter so we can blend out full servers!!!
I would recomend when you press create game then you have a server that hosts it for you :P

Well I tried forwarding the ports, and that prevented the infamous "NAT Punchthrough failed" error, but now I'm timing out before I can join any server.

I might just do as Yenroz suggests and simply host my own server, and let others bother trying to join. Although I might be waiting in an empty game lobby for hours until people join my game :P

Either way, I don't mind waiting for steam integration to be improved in order to play multiplayer. I personally think NOT HAVING CO-OP in a (more or less) completely CO-OP game is a ♥♥♥♥♥. However, I admire BetaDwarf for all the hardships they've endured and I know you guys will get this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks for you hard work. :balloon:

I'm aslo having this problem. From what I can tell, we have different game lobbies listed in our game browser when we try to do Co-Op... So far I love the game but this would be a huge set back.

EDIT: FIXED: For anyone having these same problems with what seems to be region specific issues. If you are trying to play a game with someone from, say, the UK, like I was. Change your steam settings to the same region they are set to.

Go to Steam -> Settings then the Downloads tab. Change your region to match whoever you are trying to connect too.

Hope this helps!
