Problems with pre-orders and upcoming fixes (updated)

I've played through the first chapter without any issues except some screen tearing, and made some progress in the second chapter. I am playing this on Arch Linux, using Xfce4 as DE. The only issue I have experienced is a lot of screen tearing at times, but that is all.

The screen tearing is fixed if I turn off compositing for my window manager (am using the default Xfwm).

SAVE feature not working
i finished the game and wanted to replay it again to get all of the achievements
i used the STAGE SELECTION option and began to replay chapter 1
i passed several save points and got to the Castle door
at this point i exited game
when i returned and used the CONTINUE option i was placed back at the end of Chapter 2 and
could not get back to my re-do of chapter one
i then tried starting from the CAVE and got 1/2 through ..several saves pointed passed
exited..returned...used the CONTINUE option ...and there i was back at chapter 2 yet again

does using STAGE SELECT now work if i want to save and return from where i left off?

to answer my own question..
if you delete the saved file you can then replay the game and exit and continue
seems using STAGE SELECT only lets you replay that chapter without the ability to save

Using the rift and bought this game just because of rift support but one eye move slower than the other and as such is not playable. Its not the rift or the setup as I have checked both and is only occurs with your game, Win7. Please fix it, thanks.
