Mod Support?

While I am very much enjoying my intial impressions of the game, I think this game could really be improved by the community (did someone say star wars conversion mod). So are their any plans for mod support of any kind in the future?

It is possible to mod the game somewhat by modifying the xml data files that come with the game. But it's not an officially supported feature at this point.

For sure, modding is awesome. I love seeing what players can add to a game. If I have a little more time or budget to add it to this game (or the next), it would be a huge priority to add.
