Doesent seem to be popular and would like an estimate if possible on people online

it has several active severs with 5-30 people in a few of them
pretty active for what it is
it's also been out on indie sites for a year

Well honestly man, there was pretty much nobody to play with even when this game was in a bundle and thousands of people had it. I highly doubt you'll get much out of this.

It's basically dead. Pretty much the only players you'll see are bots.

I would recommend you to watch a video of ingame.
You can have fun with it, for what it is. But for example, you have one map, with one way for the omegalodon.
And often you cant join servers for whatever reason. (Maybe you are not affected).

I never been on somebody else's server, but I have had up to 16 people at a given time at most, and Nerd3 I would recommend for the video.
