Automate It Demo Gets a Big Update 🏭

We're excited to share that Automate It Demo is all set for Steam Next Fest! Whether you’ve tried it before or it’s your first time, this is your chance to dive into our world of automation and see what the game is all about.

The new patch 0.9.7.3 brings in alot of changes:

Tutorials Overhaul – Tutorials have been completely redesigned for a better onboarding experience.
Demo Levels Reworked – The demo levels have been refined and improved.

Brazilian Portuguese – The game now supports Brazilian Portuguese!
Simplified Chinese – The game now supports Simplified Chinese.

🛠️ UI & Visual Fixes

UI Enhancements – Various visual fixes and UI improvements.
Machine Connection Indicators – Improved connection visuals for better readability.

🏗️ Gameplay Adjustments

Elevator Rework – The elevator no longer has an advanced mode; it now only features the Invert Mode, activated with T.

⚡ Performance & Bug Fixes

Loading Time Optimization – Improved transition load times for a smoother experience.
Bug Report Confirmation – The bug report system now properly confirms submissions.

Automate It

Elevator only goes up?

I am on level 5 where the elevator is introduced. However, I cannot figure out how to make it go DOWN, only UP... There does not seem to be any way to invert the elevator direction. The tutorial information did not mention this at all, nor does the build controls... Surely there is a way to do this since it seems people have beaten this level... Am I just missing something obvious??...

Hey, builders! While you're busy perfecting your automation skills in Automate It, we wanted to share a game from our good friend Flazm that’s been stealing our attention lately — Train Valley Origins.

Imagine this: charming locomotives, intricate railway layouts, and brain-teasing challenges that keep you thinking, “Just one more round…”. The demo offers 7 levels for you to try, while the full game will take you through 100 levels, from the Wild West to Japan, and lets you unlock 24 unique trains — from classic steam engines to sleek modern designs. Plus, there will be a built-in level editor, so if you're feeling creative, you'll be able to design your own puzzles!

We’ve had a blast managing switches, optimizing rail networks, and trying not to (ahem) cause too many train collisions.

13 handcrafted levels designed to push your problem-solving and optimization skills to the limit.
Weekly and Random challenges – it’s not just about making things work, but making them work better. Your solutions will be scored based on space and power usage.
Global Leaderboard – optimize your solutions and compete with other players.
Community Hub and Level Editor (demo version) – create your own challenges and share them with the community.
4 Achievements specifically designed for this Demo!
Multiple ways to solve each challenge – there’s no single correct answer, so experiment and find the best approach!

This is just a taste of what’s to come in the full game, which will feature 50 unique campaign levels, a Level Editor, and weekly challenges to keep your engineering skills sharp.

LEVEL 4

there is no way to complete level 4 and all the cheaters on the leader board show me to not care for this game and let me explain level 4 have only like 15 spot to put stuff down to make stuff but with the limited room you can only put down what is need and cant change the layout at all just because there no more room the when i put everything down i needed with no other layout possible i still was under 5 sec for the time so you cant beat the level i had 3 spot left after everything down...

I just removed the game from my wishlist

I tried the demo, and there are two things that cause me to not want to play this game anymore, unless these things are changed. 1. Every level has a time limit. The objective is to deliver a certain amount of a product within a certain time. I don't like time limits. I like to take my time with a game. I don't care how fast I solve a puzzle. I only care that I do, at my leasure. I play games to relax from the demands of everyday life, not to get stressed even more. 2. Everything is tied to a ranking syste...

I WAS interested

First of all, nothing wrong with the game itself, the demo is perfect and I thank you for it. but Im not interested in automation games that are level based with objectives, I want automation games with open world and complex sprawling factories where I have autonomy and freedom of choice. I want persistence in something I build. FOr me this is a minigame you add to another game. Thankfully, you created a demo and didnt lie about what this was. It's not for me, I hope there's an endless mode or procedura...

Suggestion: Ability to drag select when moving or copying

You can drag-select for deletion, but you can't drag-select for moving or copying. This is brutal when you've created an elaborate setup and realize you need just one more square of buffer space. Now you have to individually move each machine, pipe and conveyor and it's a nightmare......
