Local co-op or hotseat by any chance?
I LOVE Talisman. It's right up there with Cults across america, Twilight imperium and Dune for awesome games that hold up past the nostalgia factor for me. I would just really like to play a game with a group of friends on a projector or tabletop interface without having to buy multiple copies and run them on vmware clients alternating on the same box...because that sounds unfun to set up.

Spiffy, ty. Now I just need to buy this and hide it until I've finished indoctrinating my friends to turn-based pc games by using the huge and heavy ones then break out this one as a "lightweight" alternative.

[insert evil cackle]

Are there any disadvantages to local multiplayer? Are your cards always visible anyway or is the 4-pack a better deal because of card privacy?

Cards are only visible to the player who currently has an action. There are prompts when priority is going to swap. Basically it's like a regular hotseat multiplayer game, but with reactive actions during play that pop up from time to time when it is not your turn.

The four pack is better suited to a scenario where you don't have a comfortable setting for your players to all use the same computer or where people are geographically disparate.

So are your friends supposed to look away during your turn or something?

any other idea how to solve multiseat where all players seat in the front of monitor/TV?

So really, the best way to play this is having a 4-pack so that no one can see your cards.

All of you can play on the same tablet and pass it around. Watch a movie while you play on a laptop set at the coffee table with a GM screen. Everyone else is narcissisistically focused on their phones checking facebook updates during play and forgets to cheat even a little.
Yes, on the tablet it has sense and has been done already. Nice idea with laptop :)) however a little bit "weird" ;D
