Trees in Trainz and Train excursion
If you like to put lots of trees into your route, try the excellent trees by clam1952 on the download station. I use these extensively now and combine with some speed trees. Is a bit easier on the ole processing as the trees aren't so demanding. There are some great bushes as well by this content creator.

Here is the link to the steam train ride I had on Saturday which left from Wellington, New Zealand. It was great, but over all too quickly. Where I got off, the train continued on with it's excursion to Fielding. Thankfully the lines had been given the all clear after the earthquake we had the previous day. I have tried to keep the clip short-ish.

Steam train ride from the middle of the city? Too good to be true :). In Trainz 12, I ran out of coal mid way LOL

Btw I noticed you had Train Simulator 2013. I'm wondering if that is better(as in more realistic) than Trainz Simulator 12. Thanks.

I never ride on train before except when I was in Singapore but that's not real deal train. It's not even intercity train.

My preference is Trainz 12 and it's predecessor ts10/09 etc, as I find surveyor mode, ie route creating, a lot easier to understand and use. I do like the graphics of train sim 2013 though.

Thanks. Which one is more realistic in control and physics? Train Sim 2013 does look pretty.

Btw that Trainz 12 dancing girl videos you made are awesome LOL.

:) thanks. The dancing Samba girl is made by arraial, kuid:524343:6294 and can be got off the download station.
I have only spent time in trying to work out the editor in Train sim 2013 so can't really give an honest answer to your questions regarding the comparisons in physics and control between both games. In cab and realistic driving etc, I only use the AI with trainz, and once the rules are set up the AI do a pretty good job, so am unable to help you much there either. Hopefully someone else will be more informative :). This review gives a decent explanation on trainz12 and may be helpful: http://www.simhq.com/_trains/trains_004a.html

Do you build in Surveyor or prefer to drive the pre-made routes?

I haven't tried the surveyor yet but I think, for now at least, I prefer to download and drive others' routes. I'm interested in driving these locomotives.
