Any idea how to get this? I haven't seen either of the movies, so I'm not sure what it wants me to do.

With PC(win) i tried many times but its impossible, no popup ;(

Can i know what have to do? i lost a game on android version, and was like your screen ( 100% cure research, more of 6 bilion of ppl death) but i didn't get pop-up, just lost it....

Try with cheat before !!!

With Iphone v1.9
Once the cure research came to 100%, Evolve coma
(you must always devolve coma before 100%)
So cure research fall 75% 85% and now kill the focking people ^^

After 5.6 or 6 billion dead you can devolve coma.
the cure research increases 100% and pop-up come ;)

ex:
look 5.6 billion dead then devolve coma

I had pop-up on android versione but not achievement, are u sure just need that pop-up for complete the achievement? Anyway later i'll try to get pop-up on pc version.

The message came up when there were only 2 million humans left. Basically a "cultural" victory. I'm not sure what prevented me from getting the achievement. It seems I won by being the dominant force, and yet that didn't trigger it. I tried two ways, incidentally. I'd saved just before this, so I went back and tried something else.

At the screenshot, I had only the 3 symptoms leading up to blindness. I tried this way because it resulted in the Ape in the image to the right standing taller than the Human, who now had his head lowered.

The second way I had zero symptoms at all. Both ways ended with the same victory, at roughly the same time. 600k apes left, 2 million humans, and it ended.

Kinda irked because if I actually did everything right and the achievement is bugged, I might've been the first person in the world to get it. (Then again it's entirely possible someone else did just what I've done, and simply didn't post a screen.) Which means nothing except for my pride. :) I can't think of what I should have done differently.

edit 2: To give a bit more detail of what I did -

Pumped all points at the start into transmission (starting point was U.S.). I devolved a few symptoms early, but once I had around 2 billion people infected, which happened fast, and maybe 80 or 85% of the countries, I stopped worrying about it and immediately made the apes intelligent and able to colonize.

Once colonizing I spent every available point in increasing the dna they generate, and making them spread intelligence faster. As labs popped up I attacked them. When the planes showed up I simply moved the colony out of that area. Any extra dna at that point was going into combat effectiveness.

Eventually everyone was infected, and by the time around 4 billion people had died the cure was at a standstill. At 700 million people left I devolved all fatal symptoms, then later all symptoms entirely.

Well if that is the way you are supposed to get the achievement, I should have gotten it already, because I got that popup like 3 times now. :x

Yap, same here ....

I think the cure-progress has to be 100% for a short time, just before mankind is completely whiped out.
The few cured humans are immune against the ape flu and survive, but have to face intelligent apes, who take over the control of the earth.
This would be the setting of the movie.

I tried this out without success ..... it´s really hard without knowing the exact parameters to unlock this achievement.

oh okay, then I´m mistaken. "Film Fanatic" seems to be buggy indeed.

Achievement cannot be bugged. Steam says 0,1% got this one! There were 0% 2 or 3 days ago.
So there must be something else ur missing.
