Some crashes in game are intentional and are caused by an incorrect action. It’s encouraged that the user attempt to solve a solution again, through different means such as using the time warp amulet.
I moved to a new scene and got stuck in the wall!
Out of world issues occur when progressing to a different area, and we're working to fix any remaining instances of this issue. Feel free to report them as bugs in the forum if you encounter them. You can use the time amulet to warp to a previous point.
I accidentally skipped dialog! Can I read it again?
If you bypass dialog (such as by pressing Esc or B), you can use the time amulet to warp back to a previous scene and watch the dialog again. This is good way to read any clues you missed.
I fell into a hole in SpookyPath and now I keep getting a game crash.
We're working to fix this. In the meantime, you can restart the game.
I crashed, but I can't get out of it or use the time amulet to bypass it!
If this happens, restart the game and load your save to get back to where you left off.
A bunch of the artifacts display with the same graphic in the inventory menu.
Artifacts will have temp default graphics before you assign them in the inventory. We're working on the fix.
I tried to remove all behaviors and traits from a hackable object or character, but then it crashed when I tried to create a new one!
This is a known issue. For now, remember not to remove them!
The screen became pixelated when I skipped dialog with Ida.
D'oh! You can enter and exit the inventory menu to fix this, or move to a different scene.
I can't pause the game nor is there an option to close the game!
A lot of the in-game UI and options are still being tweaked around at the moment.
Sometimes, though, you have to restart Steam for an update to appear.
Yes even for me I have to "alt+enter" to get it to progress further. It puts it into a window and then I see the rest of the intro animation and game loads. Mine is PC.
The main thing of the game is computer language and hacking, all the computer language and hacking is done in english, all over the world. I don't think a translation is needed.
I don't see why translations would be bad. There is a lot of the game that is in dialog that would be harder for another person to understand--especially, for instance, some of Bob's explanations about programming details like telling you what a modulus operation means. And, while what you say is true about computer languages generally using English words, if you want the game to be playable by the widest audience possible it would be a better design to make it more generally accessible rather than using the anglocentric programming language trend as an excuse.
But that should happen after the game has been completed. Having a functional, completable game is much more important.
In the castle level, at the part with the fireball pipes I threw my boomerang and managed to open the hack window at the exact moment a fireball hit me and dropped my life to 0.
My character sprite was stuck in that mid-warp look when you die, but when I left the room it went back to normal; however, my life was still at 0. With 0 life, no enemies or hazards can do damage to me anymore, so this bug makes you immortal.
Game breaking, but cool. Now I don't need to hack the pipes to disable the fire, I can just walk through the fire.
There's a puzzle in the dungeon that changes the characters you see when wearing the third eye hat. You need to find and solve that puzzle :)
