I keep checking for the linux version but nothing so far. I just got a new NVIDIA Geforce GTX 280 but the windows version wont run. Probably because wine 1.7.19 dosn't implement all of Directx 10 and 11 yet. I want to play this game so please launch the Steam for Linux version that Kalypso promised. Thank you.

they are waiting for steamos / steam box to launch so you will have to wait if they could do a beta so people could play before hand just not an official release that would be great.

The problem with that now is that the SteamBox has been pushed out to "sometime in 2015". So... waiting on the SteamBox is... going to mean it will be a VERY long time until Linux players will get their game. I've purchased the game BECAUSE it was supposed to be released on Linux.. I don't own a copy of Windows, so now I've got another useless game in my inventory :-(

The answer is easy: The Linux version (and also the Mac version) is not finished yet ;)

I highly doubt they will wait until 2015 to release it. It'll probably come later this Fall alongside the console releases.

I can work with that :-) I just hope that it's not tied to the SteamBox release... "Valve time" could mean another 2 or 3 years up to never...

I will be waiting...

Bought it because I rely on Linux support. So I hope the release will be in a reasonable time frame. Is there any ETA? Or maybe just something like this summer/fall/winter?
Whitman Jun 6, 2014 @ 1:08pm
The Linux version will come out later this year, not in 2015.
Cool news, thanks!
thank you
