Redacted Issues

I WOULD use the Divekick forums for this...if registration, and therefore my abillity to post on the forums, wasn't disabled.

Anyways, Redacted storyline is broken, as the game crashes after it loads the match between Redacted and Kung Pao, the third match. I would presume this is because of some cutscene failure. There might not actually be a script for the cutscenes for Redacted, so the game freaks out and Nopes the hell outta Dodge.

Huh, kinda like me in third grade...

This is true. And the "current" update, if you can really call it that, is the one they released on October 15th 2014 - over 10 months ago. It's literally been broken for over 10 months and the developers appear to be loooooong gone from these forums.

So I wouldn't bother expecting a fix anytime soon. In fact, I wouldn't bother expecting a fix at all. The devs have abandoned this game in a broken state, it's quite clear they have no intention of fixing it and it's equally clear that they have no compunctions about leaving it on Steam to continue earning from it.

I'm usually first to defend the developers when people make unreasonable complaints (I'm a dev, I know what it's like) but seriously, these guys are either incompetent, charlatans, or incompetent charlatans.

The most frustrating thing is that this appears to be a very trivial regression bug that:

1. Should have been detected during QA before the update was even released.
2. Is probably a stupid oversight that would take an hour or so to fix.

And in case any of the devs ever do show up here again, I'll put my money where my mouth is. I will literally fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code for free, doesn't matter what languages or game tools you use, it won't be anything new to me. If you're a dev for this game and you're interested then add me and we'll sort something out. I'm not holding my breath but the offer's on the table.

Edit: Also available on PS3, PS4 and the Vita - so PhyreEngine, right? No problem.
