A couple of questions
How does nighttime work exactly?

I recently started the game, got to a nighttime level, as soon as i spawn in the level, some wolf howl plays, and one of my cubs are gone.
How does this work exactly? Can I avoid it, or is it completely randomized?

Also, I can't seem to run at night. I don't know how it works, sometimes I am able to run, sometimes I'm not. I figured it had something to do with feeding, and I often noticed I could run for a little bit when one of my cubs was fed something, but at some point, I just couldn't run anymore.

Any answers/help please? (Kind of new to this kind of game)

As far as I can tell, the nighttime level is meant to be played slowly and the run is disabled on purpose to give the player a hint that they're supposed to use it sparingly. The cubs are too slow to keep up with the mother while she's running and if they are left alone in the dark for too long, nocturnal predators will find them. I think the only time that you're supposed to run is to chase after the cubs when they scatter after being frigthened by a noise.

Another tip I've picked up on is to wait for the cubs to finish eating before moving on, it's best to try and keep everyone within the mother's circle of light at all times.

I'm not sure why one of your cubs is disappearing immediately when you spawn, that doesn't sound right. Are you sure all of your cubs survived the previous level?

You need to keep all your cubs in the light around you. if not, you'll hear growling and a cub out of the light will die.
Sometimes you'll hear like a twig crack and your cubs will start running, and thats where you can run after them, to get them into the light around you again.
Hope this helped :3

Thx, this was useful for me as well. I was doing the opposite - trying to run and take them to some shelter (grass) or so, so I always lost one.

But I want to be sure - if I finish level with some losses, they will remain for the next level, right? Meaning that if new level loads, I leave the game and return, I will still get at the beginning of the level with the same number of cubs (reduced). So exiting game is not a way how to "reload with full family":-)?
