Resources wasting time?

So, I remember the strategy to win the campaign in the original was to remain on your current scenario until ALL remaining resources have been harvested. In later Xpacks they added a "Hyperspace and collect all resources" button at the end of the map. I dare not risk losing valuable resources on a single map (with the final battle in mind), so I'm staying on the scenario nearly 2x as long to harvest all the needed resources and AFKing. I know this is the original game remastered, and not many issues will be reworked, but to cut back on time-wasting, why not make an exception here and make "harvest all remaining resources" part of the "quick dock" button? This game is still amazing, just thought this could be a simple fix.

Actually I think it is already a part of the quick dock. I was staying behind at first as well, but then I quick docked because I was getting tired of harvesting a huge map (cathedral of kadesh) and instantly got 20k RU.

So it must be in already. The advantage of staying behind is that you can already construct your ships before jumping however.

The remastered version has auto-harvest for Homeworld 1 aswell (although they dont tell you this for some reason). Just jump out and any remaining resource will be yours

I just tested this in mission 2, and I didn't get anything. There was still 750 RU left.

Some missions I got nothing, some missions I collected everything manually, some missions I got like 10-20K with auto-collect. After like mission 9, I stopped harvesting altogether and I got more than enough, beat the game with 50K+ anyways.

I tested just jumping out on the first five missions or so, and it only auto-havested on one of them. Either I'm missing something, or auto-harvesting is not working consistently.

I, on every mission, have been getting all RU by Quickdocking

Every mission gave me RU after quick docking in the amount I expected (or more if I missed things on the map like salvage or whatever)
