What is stim? I can not find a simple answer..
I think it's just using any melee attack, but I'm not sure. Nothing in the help booklet either.

The stimshots? They just give you extra action points for the agent that uses them meaning they can walk further.

But like some of the augments say that they activate after use of a stim item, what is it referring to when it says stim item?

the augment is reffering to stimpacks that agents inject into themselves

You need a stimpack to use the augment

Item gives you AP. Augment activates when you use stim
