My game keeps freezing on the menu :( HELP!

When ever i start up the game and i click on newgame and then on play game the GUI desapears and nothing resppons so i end up having to alt f4 out of the game.Same thing happens when i try rebinding the keys i click on the key that i want to rebind and then no response and i have to alt f4 out of the game....

MY Specs:

Intel core i5-4570 CPU@ 3.20 GHz

8 GB ram

Windows 8.1

GTX660-DC2 series Graphics card

By default (and assuming you're 64-bit Windows), you'll find the log file we need at this location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SirYouAreBeingHunted\x64\sir_Data\output_log.txt

If you can either paste the end of the file here, or make the file available elsewhere (the Big Robot forums[www.big-robot.com] will let you upload files, we might be able to see what's going on.

Couldn't find an axis match for Vertical Look. Is it possible you typed it wrong?

it keeps saying this thoug out the whole script if this is wat u mean

That's certainly a useful clue :-) It looks as though something's gone wrong with the control bindings. Can you try deleting the following file (it'll be recreated next time you run the game):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SirYouAreBeingHunted\x64\s\SaveGames\KeyBinds3.txt

Then restart the game and see if it's fixed things...

there is no saves because i never got to actually play the game or create one...and i have got a joystic pluged on to my pc does tht got anything to do with it ?

just to be more especific the game freezes when u get to chose the characters that u play as and then u press done.also it crashes when i try to rebind the keys :)

That file should be created on startup - it's not part of the save game, it just lives in the same folder. Are you saying that the folder isn't there, or did you not check?

Are you running Windows 8.1 64-bit, and the 64-bit version of the game? Can you see folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SirYouAreBeingHunted\x64\s

?

If the game gets to the menu screen (or even loads the intro) without having created files in the folder I described then either you're not running that copy of the game (i.e. nonstandard install, or you're not running 64-bit), or the game install is completely (and impossibly) corrupted. Can you confirm which of these is true?

I tried to unistall and reinstall the game for a third time and every thing seems fine now :D thank u so much for ur time :) keep up the great work!!!
