For All Those Stuck With A Loading Screen Or Game Crash At Loading Screen

These seem to be 2 separate issues.

If you are at the loading screen and it seems to freeze but doesnt crash to desktop within a minute. Just wait. From responses on here it takes a while to load. Be patient. (may be a page file size issue, if you know how you can try increasing. Only guessing though.)

For those that after about 15 - 45 seconds on the loading screen the game crashes you most likely are on a 32 bit operating system. But behold there is a fix (at least it worked for me and others that I have sent this link to.)

Go to http://steamcommunity.com/app/242760/discussions/0/522728813818195362/ and follow the instructions EXACTLY. WARNING!!! MESSING WITH YOUR COMPUTERS REGISTRY CAN CAUSE BAD RESULTS IF YOU CHANGE SOMETHING YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE!!! What they advise should have no ill effect though from what I have seen.

Also, do not give me credit for this fix. I believe the player named The_Unk found it, the OP of the linked thread. Give them the credit. I only decided to post this as I have seen many people with the same problem I had and thanks to that genius I can play the game I have waited 6 months for.

EDIT : I forgot to mention one thing. The number that they say to change of "3072" may be different on your machine. Mine was much higher. When I changed it to the "4096" as advised the game then ran for me. Just a heads up.

Mine says SharedSection=1024,12288,512 which the middle number is higher than his. Did I miss anything on the store page that said 64-bit OS because it doesn't say that.

Mine was like that to change the 12288 number to 4096

Changing a number in the register to fit the memory of 1 game.... i don't do this, I guess it will affect alot other programs and i don't want turn into trouble with those. I will wait till the devs works out this problem in the game itself then alter my memory-register settings

that is true but for all of us 32 bit users 4096 would be the max anyways even if its limited. and it only seems to be affecting us for the most part. You are correct though

the command is not bcedit, it is bcdedit, it has to be exact

if your OS is 64bit and you have 4GB or more of ram then your fine, providing all other specs are equal or better, if using a 32bit OS then try the fix found here and many are now playing just fine due to the fix
