PC controller compatibility

Will this game allow the use of controllers? I'd love to be able to hook up my USB xbox controller and play this while lounging on the couch.

Same here, i'd like to use it, especially if they think about sourcing their game to consoles it'd be a quick port

Yes the 360 controller is compatible, and will be on launch. Tara mentioned she often uses it. Said there isn't much control difference aside from a slight loss of percision using the gamepad when placing buildings.

Has anyone been able to try an Xbox 360 controller... or does "by launch" mean "retail launch" and not this alpha launch?

Luckily you can use gamepads on ANY game you want. Just use either of these programs I linked below.

360 controllers work Native, I believe. Forgot mine at a friends, so I can't test personally.

Well as soon as the saved game bug is fixed,I'll be purchasing this game and will try. Was hoping to be able to get it working on my TV, since playing at my standing desk isn't ideal for gaming :/

They said that saving will be fixed most likely by tomorrow so you won't have to wait long.

CONTROLLERS DO NOT WORK, correctly. u cant do everything with a controller, you need the keyboard and mouse also. for instance, u cant use your invintory without a mouse, and u cant open your invintory without a keyboard
