Nuclear Throne

Nuclear Throne

(CLOSED) why is there a 30fps frame limit on the game?
why is there a 30fps frame limit on the game? i'd like to see 60fps and 120fps. i know the sprites arent that detailed, but the character and bullet movement will look smoother and i can react quicker.

The only defense I can come up with are that there is some limit to the game engine or they want the game to feel retro. Don't have an actual defense though.

It is something that you'll come to terms with. If it is the better choice is something I don't know however.

I wonder if that was on the old engine?
i just booted up a little older version.
not sure which version... but it was before game maker studio.
and it goes up to 60fps :D so yeh.. J.W.?

It's definately not a game maker studio limitation. Another game - Savage: Shard of the Gosen - is being made in Game Maker Studio and runs at 60.
j.w.?

The game has always been 30fps!
i have a version that runs at 60fps, also why is it at 30 fps?
I've just purcahsed Nuclear Throne after hearing lots of great things and Im gutted to find it only runs at 30fps, it just feels horribly jerky to me :-(

Im really disapointed, wished i'd checked the forums before dropping cash on it.

id prefer 60 or 120fps aswell. not sure but maybe the game is depended on 30fps for the way some code works, ifnot i hope the FPS limit can be lifted aswell. once ur used to 120fps. u cant go back!

30 sucks! Please consider higher fps :(
I wish there was 60fps support. Game plays great but looks rather "laggish" due to low framerate.
