How do I add a friend of mine on steam to play in a multiplayer game?

Is there a way to add a friend from steam to your Space Hulk friends list so that you can play a multiplayer game together?

Yeah add the email address that they signed up to the Multiplayer section with.

As the game is cross platform it does not rely on the Steam player list. You need to setup an independent account using your email address, this is what you exchange to add friends within Space Hulk.

->Select Multiplayer
->Select Create
->Select Versus Friend Player
->Click right arrow of next box to select from friends list
->Enter in their space hulk email
->Click add.

Once your invitation is accepted by them, they will be added.

You set up a normal email account or use one you already own.
On the Main Menu screen for the Space Hulk game you select Multiplayer > Account > Set Up Account.
Fill in your email address and and password (HINT: do NOT use the password that opens that email account!!!) and then log in with your new Multiplayer account for Space

Hulk in order to play Multiplayer games.

This should be stickied honestly, as a premier post.
There are many players with no idea about how to find friends and more important, how to add friends to play them with.

It seems thtat with the latest patch the multiplayer interface has changed and now I can't create a game against my friend (who is not connected at this moment). Has my friend to be connected in order to create the game?

As the create game lobby is not async the creator need to be in the online to start the game, which is why friends need to be online to start the game as well. Once the game has begun it can function async (5 day option).

Unfortunately there's not a quick fix for this and I am unsure if there will be anytime soon. Our programmers are fully booked at the moment.

The lack of asynchrounous game creation has made things tricky. Before the new system went into place I was playing every day... haven't played since, just because it's become such a pain.

Guess the only difference is that your friends need to be online when you create the game, but I do realize that it's easier to just send invites out when they're offline.
