Joe Danger 2: The Movie Update!
Hello from Hello Games!

It means a lot to us to finally see Joe on Steam and for so many lovely people to be enjoying it. We’re a small team, and the support is everything for us. Of course though, over the last week since release we’ve been working super hard on a patch – which has just been released.

It fixes lots of issues, some big and some really small. The main ones that have been posted on the Steam forums are:

- Missing achievements. The next time you finish a level the achievements that didn't unlock will automatically unlock. This affected the most people, and is all fixed now!
- We fixed the author names not appearing on shared levels. This actually took a while to track down – but is all sorted :)
- Some Dev picks on Joe Danger 1 contained levels that were not in fact picked! Hopefully now you’ll see only the best of the best levels there.
- A small number of people have mailed us about a “slow-motion bug”. This is actually caused by a number of different issues. We have fixed 3 separate problems in this latest update. Two of these are graphics card related, and one was a rare Joe Danger code bug. Please let us know at steamsupport@hellogames.co.uk if you continue to experience it, as there may be other causes. We're super keen to make sure this is properly squashed :)

There are two other issues reported by a handful of people, that we are still investigating, but now have a work around:
- If you are seeing the game crash either on the "Press any button to start" screen, or at the end of a tour, please reinstall the latest DivX codec. This is caused by a corrupt codec install.

- A few people have reported a crash in the launcher, that meant they couldn’t boot the game. We are working to get a reproducible – but it is very rare. However, if you have suffered from this you can *now* bypass the launcher with the command line 'silent'. (Right click on the game in your library, go to properties, then click 'Set Launch Options' on the 'General' tab). Type 'silent' in here. You can still set options in the launcher then quit out to save the changes.

Any other issues reported we are still working on. Posting here is useful, but please do mail steamsupport@hellogames.co.uk as well (so that we can try to find fixes asap).

Apart from bug fixes, one nice update that we're also really pleased to confirm, is that we're adding Steam Trading Cards to both Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie really soon!

Thanks again!
Sean

Thanks for the update.
I'm sad to report that I still experience the slow motion bug. I can circumvent this by reducing my resolution to 1280x720 and selecting log graphic quality (which in my eyes still looks perfectly fine). So I'm not in need for a fix, but I wanted to respond anyway.
I had the slow-motion problem and everything works fine now. Can't thank you enough for the support and the good communication! Thumbs up!
Slo-motion bug seems to be fixed for me too. Fantastic support for an awesome game :)
I'm happy to say that the game is fixed for me now. Thanks devs! :D
Could you add a launch option to start the game directly ie. bypass the launcher?
I have a reference EVGA GTX 780 running the v326.01 drivers on a month old stock speed i7-4770K system with 16 GB of RAM and a clean install of Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and while the updated Joe Danger 2 certainly runs better than before, now it actually freezes completely for 1-2 seconds before continuing. It only happens once per event and doesn't occur if I restart the same event but it is very annoying. The game has never crashed though and there are no errors in the event log to indicate any driver or hardware problem; the game literally just seems to pause for a second or two then carry on as normal.

Maybe this is a driver issue or something specific to the GTX 780 but this is the only game I'm currently playing that does this and the other games are far more demanding than this (Crysis 3, BioShock Infinite, Hitman Absolution, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragons, GRID 2, Sniper Elite V2 and so on).

can't wait now I hope my game stops lagging
can you fix the slow loading times of dowloading levels! PLZ
I get the slow-mo bug with the current version of Joe Danger 2 if v-sync is on "Adaptive" in the nVidia control panel. If I change v-sync to "On", the game runs at normal speed.

Hope this helps someone!

Cant wait for the Linux version!
Thankyou very much for the Linux version. It runs silky smooth maxed out at 1080p. Very fun and challenging game.

Fedora 20 64bit
i7 4770k cpu
Nvidia GTX660ti gpu
16gb ram
I am playing with keyboard and since tehre are only shown images for the controller I have to translate their meaning for myself in the game which really sucks. What angries me even more is that the shown controls in the menu don't work like they should according to the controller images when you use a keyboard. Assigned Controller Key "B" is "A" on keyboard and when it is shown in the menu and you are using keyboard you have to press "ESC". This is no fun - please fix this.

Edit: I just loaded the update and now everything is just perfect and the game is a whole lot of fun - thank you for fixing this very annoying problem :)

Will there be any community level downloads in the future?
