Is Lifeline worth a buy?
Hey all, hope everyone is doing great. I love State of Decay, and have Breakdown. So is Lifeline that good? Does it add alot? Just trying to get fellow gamers opinions. I was going to get Lifeline of Warband: Mount &Blade. Feel free to throw your 2 cents in. Thanks! :)

It adds a new vehicle (Military Pickup), a new perspective (playing as the military, not civilians), and changes the pace of gameplay (you have to prioritize between rescuing VIPs, civilians, and recruiting isolated soldiers, ignoring missions have consequences).

And for what it's worth you get to play around with a LOT more military-grade hardware, and if you play strategically enough, you can call in Drones for Recon (scans entire area without having to establish visual contact) or Hellfire Strikes.

Atleast it was during the summer sale.

Hmmm...thank you first off for your help. :) I have been having a blast with Warband: Mount & Blade! I got about $10 in my steam account and I'm really torn between the 2. I might mess with Warband for the rest of the day, as I'm still in the "honeymoon" phase of playing a new game. But damn, I LOVE the hell outta SOD. Thank you again guys! Happy gaming :)

Lifeline is a very good DLC to get if you want a challenge. It puts you on a clock AND makes combat losses debilitating. There aren't soldiers everywhere, and the most you will usually recruit is 1-2, only rarely 3. I completed Lifeline having only 12 personnel on base, and it was only just enough to make it.

You need every man on deck during a Siege, and by your third Siege, you'll know why.

Nah, I skipped it during the Summer Sale. The whole military angle is a turnoff for me. I prefer the civilain survival feel.

The base game and Breakdown are more than enough of this game. Maybe next time if its on sale at 75% off, I'll pick up Lifeline.... maybe.

An added benefit of picking up Lifeline is you can get a few mods that add the new Lifeline melee weapons and guns to the base game and Breakdown. That alone makes it worth it if Lifelines blast of a campaign wasn't already with it. :)

Sorry for bumping this thread, but does the lifeline works like breakdown? I mean can i "reset" the spwans locations too?
Or is it like the main game, that will end after i make the campain?
