Clone tool and shortcuts?

I recently played Tim 2, and found the whole "Right click to clone object" really useful. Is it planned to be integrated to this game? Playing with a mouse, right clicking on an object just placed is faster than going to the bin on the right. I know it's a small usability tweak, but one which I've found myself try several times to use only to remember it isn't in there.

And keyboard shortcuts. Are there shortcuts to start/stop/fast forward? I found the pan function when pushing space to try to start the contraption and noticed the hand cursor.

Currently right click does clone objects. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working for you. Are you on osx or windows? Wired or wireless mouse? Any sort of weird set up that would affect it?

Right now there are only a few keyboard shortcuts:

- Right click: clones a part
- Spacebar: switch to pan tool
- r: Runs the contraption
- Shift: Allows more finite control and lets you place parts "off grid"

Keyboard shortcuts are important, and we will be adding many more eventually. We will also be adding the ability to customize key bindings for the different shortcuts.

I'm on windows 7 x64. Using a Logitech k260 keyboard+mouse combo, but it also doesn't seem to work on the touchpad on the built in laptop.
What I was attempting was to clone a large gear, also trying to clone a slanted conveyor, though that was in Alpha2

Instead of saying switch to pan tool, is it hold to pan tool? That's how it functions for me when I attempt.

Also with conveyors, it might not actually initially respect the Shift. I forgot to mention when picking up an edge of a conveyor to slant or move it, it seems to often jump a rather large hop on initial move, then go back to smooth movement when moved further. This could be grid movement behaviour?

I'll bring the cloning issue up with Keith and see if we can figure anything out.

I mistyped above, spacebar is a "hold to pan tool". If you want to just switch to the pan tool you can select the hand in the upper right menu.

The "large initial hop" when slanting something right now is actually a bug. We have it tracked and should have a fix soon.
