Xbox controller not working in MotoGp2013

Been playing MotoGP13 with a joystick, finally bought an Xbox controller. The pad is working perfectly in other games but it seems like it isn't recognized by MotoGP13?
The only thing that works in game is the POV hat. I can pause the game and use the povhat to scroll in option. Nothing other works.
If i try to assign anything in controller options, the game only accepts inputs from said povhat.

Any ideas?

I have downloaded the latest drivers for the controller.
