Can you make a remake of Duke Nukem 64?

I had it on my (and my brothers 50/50 owned) nintendo 64. I would love to see that game, remade with a modern engine, and have a go, I had so many hours of fun on that.

I don't think it will ever happen. It would be excellent if they did but it would take years for a modder to do it. If it were to happen I think we would need a publisher and Dev to take it on. It could work though if they didn't make a bad job of it.

Well, I think about a year ago they had a break through and was able to extract every single map out of the rom. They are only waiting on the eduke32 devs to add some features/code in to make it look authentic.

Trust me, I have tried it :)

i don't think they will be able to port anygame off a nintendo or sony console because of the licence or at least not to steam

If they got the permission from whoever did the game, then they could remake the game, I am not asking for a re-release, I mean a remake.

Haven't played it for years, since i was 8 probably, but I remember one, where you were on this roof near a thetre and there where propane cans near a fan, shoot them then drop down, then to your left is the thetre, might have to get my N64 out again :)

With time lisences are expired or ignored and games can become free again... never lose hope.

Until then, use emulators to play Tomb Nukem , i mean Duke Nukem Time to Kill, LotB and the other one...

PS1 emulators are very stable already, ePSXE is awesome at emulating Time to Kill to the point that its better than using the actual PS1.

You might wanna have a PS1 controller to have better "retro" experience tho, but it plays fine without it.

Got a Dualshock 3 with motion in joy, that I use for everything, emulates, Xinput, and all the old PS controllers :)

Better DS3[betterds3.ciebiera.net] works offline

think I will stick to motion in joy atm, when all my old controllers are knackered I will just use Xbox ones if sony doesn't release decent drivers for PC.
