Highly terrain-dependent, though; in the Ice Caves it's a matter of activating them and watching them kill themselves, but in the Mines it can take quite some effort to take them out and when you're unlucky on the Mothership they can make hell break loose there with the amount of space they have to run around in.

I can't count how many good runs suddenly went horribly wrong because of a Shopkeeper.
On the other hand, shopkeepers are the most satisfying enemies to get rid of, along with fire frogs, very useful because you can pick them up before they explode and use them as an extra bomb.
