So this game will never be fixed?

Just got this game and tried playing it, crashes after 2 lines of text on intro. Do the devs just not care to fix this? its been years that they have known about this. I got it working with other fixes from 2013 so it is playing in a 720p window, but it will crash if it is in 1080p full screen. Makes playing this game really lame.

Interesting. Sadly, I'm no good at code or bug fixes, so I don't know how to help you. However, I do know that there probably isn't and won't be a fix, the game is now very old and developement stopped a long time ago, I'm pretty sure the group that made it disbanded as well. I know for sure that the head guy who worked on this game isn't even doing game design anymore. My best advice is to just play windowed, its what I do anyways. Happy spelunking!

works fine for most people,try verifying your cache.

Sorry to hear it's not working but I assure you that it's a fault with your system setup and not one of the developers.

i had this problem, but after updating my graphics driver it went away. i dont really know why the previous driver would have this issue.. it seems unlikely that THIS driver update would be the one to fix it after its been a problem for so long

I am on an asus rog 751 laptop. windows 10, gtx 860m, 16gb ram, i7, etc. There is no reason this should not be working in full screen. I am up to date on drivers as well. i have seen other people commenting about how it still is not working as of late 2015. I have gone through every fix i could find. I know its not exactly a new game so the devs have just left it as is, but it just seems like a simple patch could fix this. If i had the know-how i would do it myself, but thats not my field. Although i am no stranger to having to tweak game files to make them work properly. Its no big deal honestly, ive been playing it in a window, its just i like most of my games to be fullscreen cause windowed mode can be distracting.
