Give melee (so Hammers, things with reach) more range, zombie hands reach further...
As title says, I was just playing and ended up dying to 1 zombie that somehow managed to outrange my hammer with it's arms which is laughable, how can an arm have more reach then an arm and a 2 handed hammer going forward swinging? logic levels in this game is great.

I'm a lover of melee. Play chivalry and berserker class in killing floor. The melee felt nice sound and visual wise, it had weight and heft. But i garee with the posts above, the range felt..... skewed to me. I'd struggle to hit sometimes but then get gnawed immediately? Was troublesome to land hits and I hate how slowly you swing (also hate how slow mossberg is at everything, but that's for another thread)

On a separate note I'd LOVE it if the visuals could be boosted. When I land that sledge-hammer/fire-axe head-shot I wanna watch that zed drop HARD in a shower of brain and skull lol Really enjoyed shaving chunks outta em with the axe, though.

Suppose it's hard to balance something like melee in an fps game where ammo conservation is a main point; make the melee too easy and ammunition becomes less of a concern, as you can just grab a bat and bean everything. On the other hand, if it's gonna be in game it should be fun and accurate....... don't take away my hammer!! please! ;)

The range of player zombies is ridiculous at the moment, like 9 feet in my persective when chaising a survivor/player. (When i'm playing as player zombie, yes, my fov is 120)
Also it feels like player zombies are still faster than survivors when chasing them.

for the love of god INCREASE RANGE ON MELEE WEAPONS. Atleast for the heavy ones. I SWEAR I was close as hell to another layer in hunted mode and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ missted the swing looking like an idiot while he picked me off with the pistol.

The range is actually longer for most melee weapons (clearly the longer ones) but lag compensation and claws vs charged attack may make it seem otherwise. Will look into possible balancing.

please make sure heavy charged swings are assured to hit anything in front of you. I don't mean make it clear entire room but anything 1-1.5 meters should be hit.

Also world view animations do not show players chargiing their weapons. It looks fine in fps but from other's point of view they are holding it normaly.
