I Believe the Arklight is a little too much over powered utility

Just as the title says i think the arklight is just too much utility to have, although i understand why some people love it after the original plasma torches. Dont you think it should be kinda somewhat inbetween?

I prefer the plasma lights over the arklight to be honest.. I'd rather waste a few more materials and have a well light area to fight and explore.

I guess I would need examples of how its over powered. I mean if any creature touches the lights they seem to go away. Maybe you have much better armor than me but it takes up a bunch of my energy each shot. Making me very unsafe with no way to escape a crab rush.
And i like that it doesnt stay there for ever. So when I am flying around the world I dont see old places I have been that are not organic looking now because of my left over stuff.

We definitely don't feel it's overpowered, it's adjusted to where the community feels good about using it, and that's what we were going for. We wanted it to be relatively inexpensive to the player, and to provide enough light to be worth using.

Yes im sorry, actually i recant this because the last time i played the lights lasted like forever must've been a bug. I just came back and remembered it in the tutorial a gain so i just shift+tab'd and posted quick. Awesome progress by the way!

I feel like it's garbage I'll never build that trash again! waste of materials. plasma torch waves are to assault all unlit areas in my WaR on Darkness.

But don't torches stop stuff from spawning in MC?
If light did that in this game then I would use the torches rather than the arklight.

But the War on Darkness is fed by the WaR on Dirt. For without Dirt torches do not ablaze. When dirt is collected by the millions for light Goodies reside within the bowels of the depths of night! atleast till I mine my way to a thrilling freefall.

What I do is just make a symbol out of dirt or something... something that doesnt look natural so I know that ive been there. and its usually cheaper than the torches.
