New to the game, 2 questions (EDIT: make that 3)

Hello everyone,

As the title says I'm new to the game, though not to strategy RPGs and the like, but I have two questions. 1: is there a way to change the camera angle from diagonal to 'normal'? Currently I can only set the camera in diagonal views it seems, with the 'board's' or 'battlefield's' corners to the sides of my screen. I would like to have a straight view if possible, as with chessboards and other SRPGs I've played before.

2: is there a conversation log? The game uses VN style dialogue and most VNs nowadays have a log to check back if you missed something. I'm sort of afraid to start pressing all buttons because oftentimes there is a skip button to fast-forward and if I hit that and there's no log after all, I won't be able to follow what's going on.

Extra question that just popped up, sorry, but: is there a way to slow down auto speed? I didn't see it in the options, but I'm a slow reader and often can't read fast enough before text goes to the next line in auto mode. While I, again, with VNs and VN-style storytelling in games nowadays, can often adjust that speed and make it suit my slow reading better.
