Explain the story to me

So I just beat the game but I'm still confused on the overall story of the game.

OkI know this is a pretty late reply but if you still don't get it I'll try to explain. The earth was destroyed after the god of doors was revived. After the group took out the god of Narroration's brain the sword that he had been holding was really the god of narroration (not the god of doors like people think) The god of door's can't manipulate objects that was strictly narrorations power. The god of Narroration took over Tycho, planned to use him to destroy everything and create a world in his image. The party fought him and killed him. The universe was destroyed but his niece and "You" survived because tyhco placed both of you in prisons of crystals outside of time and space so that you would rebuild the universe.
