Is it worth buying just for Single Player's sake?

Since the game is apparently marketed as mainly multiplayer, I would like to ask: is it worth buying if I am only interested in single-player campaign?

Is there an interesting gameplay, good storyinle, decent AI, replay value, etc.?

I have only played single player at this and am 8 hours in since re discovering this classic. I love it. Got it in the Steam Sale but I think it's worth it and it runs on my crappy laptop too.

I have A game Key for this game If you want to give it a try, It will save you a few dollars and help me out also I notice you have like 5 sets of xcom enemy Unknown cards, would you want to trade 2sets of that for this game?

Thanks for the offer, but I have reconsidered getting this game for now; currently I have way too many games I have yet to complete - or play at all
