Anyone else other than me going full turtle(IronClad) on their playthroughs? I know they don't drop their weapon so anything that can plummel an enemy like the demon's great hammer or DrakeKeeper's Great hammer will work.

True but their high defence will be sufficent enough to not make it a big deal. Also, I am going to use strong weapons that deal high damage along with high poise damage so it woudn't be that bad, though I will say bosses will have a hard time so I may do some jolly cooperations to help me.

It won't work as well as you think. I did something similar with another super high defense and poise armor. You'll still take insane later and that defense will only leave you with a bit of life instead being 1 shotted. As for poise, it doesn't work as well as before. High damage and high poise damage will probably be great hammers. Blunts seem to do a lot than slash. Some enemies seem like they can't be staggered at all.

Poise is nerfed to pretty much useless in DS 2 so not recommended.

Well even so, I will still do my turtle run and see how far it will last me.

you don't wanna go beyond 69,9% load. Just go naked + Great Club +10, easy mode.

That's assuming you can get the whole set. Good luck farming those turtle bastards for it, not only do enemies despawn after 15 deaths, the turtles are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to fight, especially at lower levels

turtles are really easy to fight, dont circle them, just come up to one, bait the downward attack, step back, while he recovers from attack go hit him couple times, repeat.

How about no? You do that while I do it my way. Turtle all the way. Still sucks we can't wield their weapon. You will think they drop it if you can get their armor as well. Oh well, any great hammer will work.
